麦勒画廊  北京-卢森  将在北京举办瑞士艺术家诺特·维塔尔（Not  Vital）的个展“Not  Why”。展览将集中展示艺术家于2008年在中国安置工作室后制作的新作品，他还在瑞士森特、美国纽约和尼日尔阿加德兹等地建有工作室。此次展览作品丰富，包括维塔尔用各种材料制成的雕塑，如塑料、着色不锈钢和着色铸铜等。借助“维塔尔式”的幽默，展览在中国将首次展示其他一些作品，其中有艺术家借鉴以往艺术项目而制作的新作品。    

        Galerie  Urs  Meile,  Beijing-Lucerne  is  pleased  to  announce  Swiss  artist  Not  Vital’s  solo  exhibition  “Not  Why”  at  our  gallery  in  Beijing.  The  show  focuses  on  Vital’s  newest  artworks,  which  have  been  created  in  China  since  2008,  when  the  artist  made  Beijing  one  of  the  places  where  he  lives  and  works  (along  with  Sent/Switzerland,  New  York  and  Agadez/Niger).  “Not  Why”  spreads  throughout  all  the  exhibition  spaces  and  displays  a  wide  range  of  sculptures  created  from  materials  ranging  from  plaster  and  painted  stainless  steel  to  bronze.  Imbued  with  Vital’s  ironic  spirit,  the  show  will  present  several  recent  works  for  the  first  time  in  China,  some  of  which  recall  and  re-interpret  the  artist’s  earlier  projects.
